Security forces killed 15 terrorists in intelligence‑based operations across Balochistan. The killings took place in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki. The operations were carried out as part of Operation Rad‑ul‑Fitna‑3, a counter‑terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies in the region. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the raids. Sources say the operations severely damaged the terrorist network and restricted its movement in the province. Security forces said they remain committed to carrying out operations under Operation Rad‑ul‑Fitna‑3 without interruption until terrorism is eliminated. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the forces for their intelligence‑based operations, calling them professional and saying the attacks foiled the nefarious designs of Fitna al‑Hindustan and Fitna al‑Khawarij. Earlier on Thursday, security forces killed 12 terrorists belonging to Fitna al‑Hindustan during IBOs in Washuk and Mastung districts, according to the military’s media wing. Pakistan has seen a rise in attacks since 2022, with ACLED reporting 2,425 attacks in 2025 versus 658 in 2022. The increase includes 838 attacks by the Taliban‑linked TTP, up from 118 in 2022. Balochistan remains a target of Indian proxies, with attacks on civilians and defence installations. In a recent attack on the last day of 2025, 18 civilians in Gwadar and Kharan districts were killed. Earlier this month, at least 30 people were martyred in an ambush on police personnel in Ziarat, where several civilians and police were abducted. The army, Frontier Corps and police launched a joint operation that remains underway.
