Pakistani singer Atif Aslam shared thoughts on his career in a recent interview. He said quitting music had never been an option, noting that creative blocks are a natural part of an artist’s journey. He added, “I never thought of quitting. Yes, there will always be a creative block, and that’s rightfully so; it is important for an artist.” Aslam clarified that his well‑known song “Aadat” was originally about self‑awareness and shaping oneself to situations, not simply heartbreak. He also discussed a track from his newest album, “Subha Aye Na,” describing it as an exploration of self and faith. After 18 years of working under commercial labels, Aslam returned to independent music. He said, “I’ve gone back to zero, where I wanted to be the same guy who’s fearless, who just wants to release music.” He sees the move as a way to write and compose for himself. The singer recalled a heartfelt fan gesture at a 2026 concert in India, where a fan brought him a set of glasses as a gift and shared a YouTube video of his yearly birthday celebrations. Aslam described the moment as "the sweetest thing a fan had done."
