After an avalanche struck Broad Peak on July 31, ten foreign mountaineers went missing. A joint search by Pakistan Army Aviation and ground rescue teams found the bodies of five of them on Thursday. The remains were wrapped in the national flags of their home countries and airlifted from Skardu to Islamabad. They will be handed over to the respective embassies and then returned to their families abroad.
