Gold prices climb further in Pakistan’s local markets as international bullion rates rise by $24 per ounce.
On Tuesday, international bullion markets pushed the price of gold up by $24.00 per ounce, reaching $4,373.00 per ounce. The All‑Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the local price of gold increased to Rs459,736 per tola, a rise of Rs2,400 from the previous day. In the same report, the price of 10 grams of gold rose to Rs394,149, up Rs2,058. Silver also saw a rise; the price per tola jumped to Rs6,965, an increase of Rs62, and 10‑gram silver was quoted at Rs5,971, up Rs53. Earlier, the Association said gold had climbed Rs800 per tola during the day to close at Rs457,366 and 10 grams at Rs392,091, up Rs685. On Saturday, the per‑tola rate had advanced Rs2,200 to finish at Rs456,536, with gold gaining $8 to settle at $4,349 per ounce, carrying a $20 premium, while silver rose Rs77 to Rs6,903 per tola.
