The Hill reported that Gulf states had accepted a new normal in the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran in control. A Wall Street Journal update noted that Donald Trump had reportedly evaded an Iranian threat, while Tehran has insisted on keeping the strait closed. Al Jazeera reported that talks with the United States would not proceed until the interim deal was breached, as said by an Iranian minister. The Hill also mentioned that a Pakistan interior minister was in Tehran as the Hormuz talks progressed.
