Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister Demands Transparency Over Imran Khan's Health and Calls for a Sit‑in Outside Supreme Court.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan said on Monday that concerns over the health of Pakistan Tehreek‑e‑Insaf founding chairman Imran Khan must be addressed publicly. Jan said any negligence or interference about Khan’s health would be unacceptable, and that he has been in solitary confinement for the past nine months while family, personal doctors and party leaders have been denied access. He compared this to earlier relief granted to former leaders, noting Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz received medical care and bail. In response to an announcement by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, all PTI members of Parliament and provincial assemblies will stage a sit‑in outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad tomorrow. Jan warned that if Khan’s sisters are not allowed to meet him, PTI parliamentarians will gather outside Adiala Jail on Thursday. He stated that access to basic medical care is a constitutional right and that current restrictions violate the Constitution and human rights. Jan also said a long march toward Islamabad will be held on September 27 because no other option remains.
