Dawn reported that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is undergoing medical tests and procedures and is expected to be under observation for two days, his aide said Monday.
Press Secretary Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the examinations are set by a team of medical experts, without additional details, and added prayers for lasting health.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif posted on X wishing a swift recovery for Anwar, expressing joint prayers for his health.
Anwar, now 79, has a history of shoulder and back problems, having been hospitalized in 2018, canceled a November trip to Pahang state due to pain, and received a clean health certification in January after routine check‑up.
