Nationwide goods transport strike threatens Pakistani factories, export commitments and the country's fragile economy, warns industry leaders.

A nationwide strike by goods transporters has stopped cargo movement across Pakistan. Industrialists say the delay in raw‑material supplies could paralyse factories, disrupt production schedules and jeopardise export promises. SITE Association of Industry President Abdul Rehman Fudda said factories depend on timely deliveries and that any pause would stall production and raise financial pressures. He warned that stalled export consignments could trigger penalties, price cuts or damage the country’s credibility with buyers. The disruption is already an unbearable burden for a sector facing many challenges.
