Pakistan and Seven Islamic Nations Condemn Israel's Gaza Actions as Grave Violations of International Law.

Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip. The ministers highlighted attacks on health facilities, civilian infrastructure and the continual loss of civilian lives, especially women and children, as grave violations of international law. The statement stated that these actions breach Israel’s obligations under the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict and undermine efforts to implement the plan’s second phase. The eight foreign ministers warned that the violence threatens to derail the political process, reignite escalation and deepen the humanitarian crisis. They urged the United Nations Security Council to enforce Israel’s legal and moral responsibilities and to hold those accountable for the violations. Israel has continued to strike Gaza despite a ceasefire. On Sunday, new airstrikes killed at least 15 Palestinians. Since the ceasefire reached in October, Israeli attacks have resulted in 1,230 Palestinian deaths. The joint statement came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a “breakthrough” in U.S.-backed efforts to implement last year’s ceasefire. A 15‑point roadmap was released, but Hamas has said it will hand over weapons only if Israel halts military operations and withdraws forces in line with the agreement. An Israeli official said withdrawal would not occur unless Hamas underwent “genuine disarmament.”
