Pakistan Assigned to Pool B of Asian Games Hockey; Group Includes China, Malaysia, Oman, Thailand, Uzbekistan.
Pakistan Hockey Federation announced the country has been placed in Pool B for the men’s hockey competition at the 2026 Asian Games.
The group stage opponents are China, Malaysia, Oman, Thailand, and Uzbekistan.
Pakistan will start on Sept. 20 against Thailand, play Uzbekistan on Sept. 22, face China on Sept. 24, then Malaysia on Sept. 26, and finally Oman on Sept. 28.
The hockey tournament runs from Sept. 18 to Oct. 3 in Gifu, Japan, as part of the continental multi‑sport event.
The top teams from each pool will advance to knockout rounds. Pakistan hopes to build on its historic hockey success and improve its international ranking.
The federation said the schedule will guide preparations, and further training and selection decisions will be made as the Games approach.
