The Pakistan Hockey Federation has transferred PKR 20 million to the bank accounts of national team players and coaching staff as an advance foreign daily allowance before their departure for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands. The advance payment is intended to keep players and officials financially secure during the tournament, allowing them to concentrate on preparation and performance. In addition to the daily allowance, the federation finalized arrangements for travel, accommodation, meals, local transportation, training facilities, logistics support, and transport of playing equipment. PHF president Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said the welfare of players and coaches was the federation’s top priority and that all necessary financial and logistical measures had been completed before the team’s departure. He added that the advance payment demonstrated the federation’s commitment to providing the best possible facilities. The federation believes these measures will boost morale and help the team perform at their highest level in the World Cup, prepared to compete among the world’s leading hockey nations. It thanked sponsors, stakeholders, and the government for their support.
