Sameel Atif and Ayan Atif filmed a short documentary inside the ancestral home of former Bollywood star Sunil Dutt in the Pakistani village of Khurd, Jhelum. The creators describe how the house belonged to Balraj Dutt, later renamed Sunil Dutt, and how the family left the area during the Partition of 1947. The video intersperses footage of the home with an older interview of Sanjay Dutt, in which he says, “I wish someday I can come to Pakistan, go back to the village. I'd like to go myself.” He also notes his father’s desire to return to his birthplace. After posting the video on Instagram, many viewers left comments encouraging Dutt to visit the village. Fans emphasized the past connection between the Dutt family and local residents, and expressed hope that the actor would one day walk again in the place of his ancestors. The response illustrates what many see as a shared heritage between India and Pakistan, a link that survived the 1947 Partition. The creators conclude with an invitation to explore the historic relevance of the area and to re‑connect with the people who still remember the family.
