PM Shehbaz Sharif and CDF Syed Asim Munir Perform Umrah During Three‑Day Saudi Visit.

During a three‑day official visit to Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir performed Umrah at the holy city of Mecca. The delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. Upon arrival in Jeddah, the Pakistani delegation was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Mishal, Deputy Governor of Mecca; Minister of Agriculture, Water and Environment Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al‑Fadli; Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq; and other senior Saudi officials. After performing Umrah, the Pakistani dignitaries offered prayers for the progress and prosperity of their country, the safety of the Muslim Ummah, and regional and global peace. Statements from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the visit is intended to strengthen bilateral relations, deepen strategic cooperation, and support de‑escalation and a comprehensive resolution of conflicts in the Middle East.
