PML‑N Aims for Two‑Thirds Majority in Azad Jammu & Kashmir Assembly After Final Campaign Push.

PML‑N has intensified its final campaign push in the Rawalakot Division of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as the third and last phase of the general elections approaches. At a rally in Haveli, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said that the results from the first two phases had already shown public confidence in the party. He added that voters in the remaining constituencies – Haveli and three in Bagh – would "strengthen the party's mandate." The August 10 voting will close the three‑phase election process. Voters in four constituencies in Bagh and Haveli will elect their representatives. The outcome will determine the final composition of the 45‑member Legislative Assembly and set the stage for forming AJK’s next government. Sanaullah expressed confidence that the party would secure the two‑thirds majority required to form the next assembly. He highlighted the party’s plan to fulfill election commitments and accelerate development projects in coordination with the federal government. He referred to commitments made by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during the campaign and said that President Nawaz Sharif would personally oversee major development schemes in the region. The adviser rejected accusations of electoral manipulation, describing the first two phases of polling as transparent and peaceful and calling allegations of rigging baseless. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit‑Baltistan Amir Muqam also spoke at the gathering. He said the PML‑N leadership had consistently stood with the people of AJK and pledged that a future party government would prioritise public welfare and infrastructure development. He announced that road connectivity and other infrastructure projects in areas along the Line of Control would receive priority, alongside development schemes aimed at improving public services. These statements set the expectation that if PML‑N wins the final vote, it will deliver on promises of accelerated development and improved infrastructure in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
