Prime Minister directs Federal Board of Revenue to strengthen enforcement against smuggling, tax evasion, and illegal businesses across the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to maintain strong enforcement against smuggling, tax evasion, and illegal business operations throughout Pakistan. He chaired a meeting to review ongoing FBR reforms and instructed that their implementation be further accelerated. In the same session, the prime minister welcomed the increasing confidence of the business community in the tax reforms. He also ordered the FBR chairman and senior officers to spend two days each month in Lahore in addition to their regular monthly stay in Karachi.
