In Nushki district, all commercial banks and financial services halted operations on August 5 without prior notice. The financial lockout is scheduled to continue until August 31, 2026, according to the department. The closure of banking institutions has severely disrupted local trade. Government workers and elderly pensioners cannot withdraw monthly incomes to purchase groceries or medicines, and students are without funds for tuition and living expenses.
