Re-polling ordered for August 15 at nine LA‑15 and 14 LA‑16 polling stations in Bagh district.
On Tuesday, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission announced re‑polling at selected polling stations in two Bagh district constituencies.
The re‑polling will take place on August 15. It will cover nine stations in LA‑15 Bagh Central and 14 stations in LA‑16 Bagh East.
The Commission said the re‑polling was required because the electoral process at some stations could not begin on time or was disrupted and subsequently cancelled.
Nine of the LA‑15 stations have 5 032 registered voters. The 14 LA‑16 stations are estimated to account for about 7 200 votes.
Previously on Monday, voting in the four constituencies of Bagh and Haveli districts had been completed as part of the third phase of the AJK elections. Results were announced for other constituencies, but the re‑polling will affect only the stations listed above.
