Salt Manufacturers Association Launches Free 3-Month Training Program for 100 Students to Boost Pakistan’s Salt Industry Skills.

The Salt Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SMAP) announced a free, three‑month technical training program for the country's salt industry. The course will begin on August 24 and will enroll 100 students. SMAP worked with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission to create the training. SMAP leaders, including Founder‑Chairman Ismail Suttar, Chairperson Saima Akhtar and former chairman Qasim Yaqoob Paracha, highlighted the program’s goal of improving employment prospects for young men and women. Participants will learn salt packaging, quality control, salt mining techniques, export documentation and how to make value‑added salt products. The curriculum is tailored to the needs of the salt sector. SMAP says the initiative will help build a skilled workforce and support the long‑term growth of Pakistan’s salt industry.
