JI Plans Nationwide Protests at 4 p.m. Across Pakistan Over Petroleum Levy, Inflation on 510 Major Roads and Highways.
Jamaat‑e‑Islami has organized nationwide demonstrations that will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and other cities. The party’s plan covers 510 major roads and highways in 170 districts, with a threat to expand to 1,500 routes if authorities block the march.
